Dear Customer,
For your own safety and to ensure proper use, please read the
following information carefully before using the appliance for the
first time.
Attention! The appliance may only be used for normal domestic use
and not for industrial purposes.
Important notes
The fan heater is for use with a 230 V AC mains supply.
Please observe VDE regulations 0100, the regulations of your electricity
supply company and the rating plate.
Electrical safety.
The fan heater complies with class II protection and protection class
IP X0.
Observe the rating plate!
The specified voltage must match the mains voltage. Use an adequate
wire cross-section.
In order to prevent the risks of a fire, an electrical shock, burns and
other injuries it is imperative to observe basic safety measures when
using electrical appliances.
Safety instructions
The appliance must only be used as described in the instructions for
use! Use for any other purpose is forbidden!
Any damage resulting from improper use and non-observance of
safety instructions will invalidate any liability and warranty!
All liability is disclaimed for any frost damage caused by a heating
output insufficient for the room size, bad heat insulation of the
room, improper operation or force majeure (e.g. power failure).
Connect the appliance only to A.C. mains as specified on the rating
plate!
Never touch live parts! Danger to life!
Never operate the appliance with wet hands! Danger to life!
Switch off the appliance prior to pulling the mains plug (rotary
switch set to 0).
The appliance must be placed so that the controls cannot be
touched by persons in a bath, shower, or any other water-filled
vessel.
Do not use the appliance in rooms with a bath, a shower or
swimming pool or in the vicinity of wash basins or water points.
Do not expose the appliance to rain or other moisture! The
appliance is not for outdoor use. It may only be stored indoors in a
dry environment!
Never use the appliance if it or its cord is damaged. Risk of injury!
Check the power cord regularly for damage.
If the power cord or the appliance are damaged to the extent that
electrical parts are exposed, disconnect it immediately from the
mains and consult your authorised dealer or after-sales service
department!
Improper repairs can cause grave hazards to the user.
Repairing and opening the appliance is permitted only by
authorised and qualified personnel!
Do not store or use any flammable materials or sprays in the vicinity
of the appliance when it is in use. Fire hazard!
Do not use the appliance in fire-hazardous atmospheres
(e.g. in the vicinity of inflammable gases or spray cans)!
Explosion and fire hazard!
Do not use the appliance in garages or fire-risk areas such as
stables, wooden sheds, etc.
Important! Do not insert any foreign objects into the appliance
openings! Risk of injury (electric shock) and damage to the
appliance!
The appliance air intake and outlet grills must never not be
obstructed in any way!
Place the appliance so that touching it accidentally is impossible.
Risk of burns!
Do not place any items of clothing, towels or anything similar on
the appliance to dry! Overheating and fire hazard!
The appliance is not suitable for connection to permanent wiring!
Use of the appliance by children and persons under the influence of
medication or alcohol is permitted only under supervision.
Make sure children are kept away from electrical appliances and do
not play with them!
The socket-outlet must be accessible at all times to enable the mains
plug to be disconnected as quickly as possible!
Attention!
To avoid any danger due to unintentional resetting of
the thermal cut-out, the appliance must not be controlled via a
timer.
The appliance is not suitable for use in animal breeding or livestock-
keeping facilities.
The instructions for use are an integral part of the appliance and
must be kept in a safe place! When changing owners, the
instructions must be surrendered to the new owner!
Ingress of water in the heater housing must be prevented, both
while it is operating and during its storage. The appliance must be
stored in a dry, moisture-free environment.
Packaging
After unpacking the appliance, check it for transport damage and
the contents for completeness! Remove all packaging and prior to
using it, check that the appliance is in an undamaged condition. In
the event of damage or an incomplete delivery, contact your
authorised dealer or customer after-sales service department.
Do not discard the original box! It is required for storage and
shipment to avoid transport damage!
Dispose of packaging material in a proper manner! Plastic bags
should be kept away from children! As toys they can cause deaths!
Location
The appliance should be placed with a minimum distance of 90 cm
away from flammable objects (e.g. curtains), walls or other
structures!
The appliance must not be operated directly on high-pile carpets!
Do not place the appliance on unstable surfaces (e.g. a bed), where
it can tip over!
Never place the appliance directly beneath a mains wall socket!
Power cord
Use only an approved extension cord that is suitable for the
appliance rating!
Position the power cord so that it does not pose a tripping hazard
and possibly cause the appliance to be knocked over.
Do not lay the cord under a carpet. Do not lay rugs, mats or similar
articles on it. Position the cord so that it does not pose an
obstruction or a tripping hazard.
The power cord must not come into contact with hot appliance
parts!
Never pull the plug out of the socket at the cord!
Never move the appliance by pulling at the cord or use the cord for
carrying the appliance!
Do not coil the cord around the appliance! Do not use the appliance
with the cord coiled! This applies particularly if a cable drum is used.
Do not pinch the cord or drag it over sharp edges. Do not place it on
hot hobs or naked flames!
Always disconnect the mains plug when the appliance is not in use.
