The Adyen Mobile Payment Pages
Payment Completion: Dealing with redirection back to your app
Furthermore, you have to deal with the redirection back to your shop after the payment is done. For mobile
sites, this is no problem since the result url is a regular internet url. For iPhone apps however, the app needs to
be notified. A technology called a custom url scheme (such as myapp://doStuff) can provide a solution. Adyen's
payment server will invoke the redirect to the custom scheme, which will result in a callback to your
application which can then close the webview and continue processing the order.
The URL used for the redirection back to your mobile application is called the Result URL. The above
screenshot shows where you can configure this. It is also referenced in the integration manual where it will
show you exactly which parameters are present in this URL, like reference numbers and the amount.
Returning Shoppers
At this moment there is not yet a perfect payment method for the Mobile devices. For instance typing in credit
card details still is a burden for a shopper on the mobile. Therefore Adyen advises in order to optimise the
conversion to present a different payment process to returning shoppers. Basically the first time is a
registration, after which the consumer is presented to easily checkout with the payment details used during
the first payment, each time they return to the payment pages. This is called Single Click Payments and can be
viewed on the next screenshot.
